BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 supports Exchange 2010

Mid December 2009 on RIM, BlackBerry message, now software MR1 for BES 5.0 SP1 deployed enterprise e-mail their support for Exchange Server 2010.

Users can download free updates to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) 5.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Maintenance Release 1 (MR1) from Web Server Downloads of Research In Motion (RIM). Nearly two weeks ago, RIM has released BES 5.0 SP1 for both Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino.

Initially, BES 5.0 SP1 supports the Microsoft IE8 web browser, support for the languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, Italian. BES 5.0 SP1 MR1 also software compatible with IBM Lotus Domino 8.5.1; 2:52 to VMware ESX 4.0 vSphere; Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 Express; DBNS for Windows Server 2008; authentication protocol NTLM v2.

RIM also released patches for critical security holes in PDF Distiller component of the BES BlackBerry Attachment Service. More information about BES and BES for Microsoft Exchange 2010 at the RIM website.
