Today October 26, 2009, Intel announced the launch of tools to optimize performance of the SSD drives for consumers with X25-M operating system Windows 7.

Toolbox to Intel SSD Intel SSD Optimizer and firmware updates for Intel SSD X25-M Mainstream SATA latest 34nm, the company released feedback in July 2009. These tools are designed to help better manage, maintain performance of the Intel SSD drive.

Intel SSD Toolbox allows users to control and manage the "health" of the SSD efficient. Firmware upgrade and use the command Intel SSD Optimizer Windows 7 ATA Data Set Management Command (also known as TRIM) to help drive Intel SSD running at high performance continuously. Trim attributes of Windows 7 operating system that helps clear the disk file has been permanently deleted, the file is deleted only temporary, to help stabilize performance and "health" of the SSD over time.

With employers X25-M 160GB drive, firmware update increases performance up to 40% compared with the current firmware, making speed record consecutive 100MB/giay reached. Intel SSD Toolbox provides management tools and information on SSD drives (including the comparison of the properties Self-Monitoring and Reporting Technology - SMART threshold of production).
